Corruption in the Federal Police

The current Minister of Security, Nilda Garre, said during a panel he shared with his friend the President of the Center for Legal and Social Studies (CELS) Horacio Verbitsky, who "the main problem today is corruption in the Federal Police." very serious complaint affecting their own government. How is it that only now, when he spent nearly eight years of Kirchner's administration, a period where the police force was under direct control of the current Chief of Staff Aníbal Fernández and administrative responsibility of the Attorney General Julio Alak, become aware of an issue serious?
